Since 2007, Nexia Design has been my vehicle for bringing innovative ideas to life. From building advocacy or business websites and artist portfolios to developing AI-workflow systems for small farms and enterprises, I’m dedicated to helping clients harness technology and navigate digital transformation in ways that reflect their mission and values.
My History
My digital journey began by reviewing educational websites at Study Web USA in the early 2000s. This led to supporting university innovation teams at Vancouver Island University’s Centre for Digital Humanities and Innovation. There I helped faculty explore new paradigms in learning and communication technology. As a result, these early experiences, paired with my anthropology background, imbued me with a people-first mindset; I see digital systems as tools that should empower users, enhance collaboration, and create real-world impact.
Over the years, I’ve worked across sectors—helping organizations like the Green Party of BC, BC Council For International Cooperation, Yoga Therapy International, and many others clarify their message and build their communities online. My approach always blends technical expertise with deep listening and creativity, whether I’m designing a new website, integrating new digital tools, or mapping business processes.
Combining UX best practices, human insight, and the latest in AI and no-code technology, I continue to help clients thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.To this day, what excites me most it the moment when a client sees their idea take shape online, reflecting their purpose and unlocking new possibilities. I believe digital design is more than just pixels and code. It’s about building healthy networks, fostering self-expression, and creating lasting value for people and their communities.
