Romina ~ digital nexialist
A CSS disciple, Javascript juggler and Drupal devotee, I create bold, accessible and content-rich web sites built on the Drupal platform. As part of a drupal development team I have worked on design and information architecture for a progressive and diverse clientele.
Along with my work as a web designer I am passionate about showcasing New Media tools and expression.
For several years I worked for Vancouver Island University's Centre of Digital Humanities and Innovation where I helped guide Humanities faculty through new digital paradigms. As part of the CDHI team, I brought my audio recording skills to the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria for a podcasting workshop. In 2005, I was a coordinator for the Reframe 2 New Media Conference in which both artists and scholars shared visions of our digital future. In conjunction with the conference I produced Ear On The Frontier, the evening performance from Reframe's new music guests.
In the last few years I have worked on several New Forms New Media Festivals, assisting with volunteer coordination, event production and box office. This year I am production assistant for Hollyhock's Education and Retreat Center and work full-time at Nexia Design.
